Understand the Latest Exam Format of Oracle CAS-003
The exam is a computer-based, 125-question test that has a time limit of 4 hours. You will have access to a digital pen and paper for note-taking as well as the ability to reveal the exam questions as you go.
There are two types of questions: Multiple choice questions and performance-based simulations.
1) Multiple Choice Questions: These are the typical true or false or multiple choice question formats on any other exam. You have to choose the correct answer from the options given on your screen.
2) Performance-Based Simulations: These types of questions require you to perform a task in a simulated environment with a given set of instructions. There are no hints or solutions available for these simulations, so it’s important for you to read all instructions carefully before proceeding with your actions.
Practice your Skills with a More Authentic Training kit in 2022
Certification is not an easy task. There are many expectations for completing the exam and it can be hard to know where to start.
The best place to start is by practicing your skills with a lab. A lab will simulate the experience of taking the exam, giving you a chance to practice your skills in a controlled environment before you take the actual test.
While there are many options out there, I recommend starting with Security Essentials (SE). SE is CompTIA’s online training course designed for beginners who want to get started in cybersecurity by understanding threats, cryptography, and how networks operate.
Once you’ve completed SE, you’ll be ready to take on Security+ (SY0-401), which will give you additional knowledge in security topics like cryptography and access control systems.
After that, it’s time for CASP! You’ll need three years of IT security experience or equivalent work experience in order to register for this certification!
Start Studying for Your Exam Now for a Better Preparation
It can take time to prepare for your exam. Between the studying and the practice, it’s important to start now.
That doesn’t mean you should cram right before the test date. Instead, set a goal for yourself of at least 45 minutes each day of study time. This will help you feel more confident on examination day because you’ll have studied every day.
Start by reading over the CompTIA CASP Exam Guide. This will give you an idea of what topics are covered on the exam and what these tasks would look like in real life with your current skillset.
